How to Raise a Complaint

A flooded living room being dried by a local provider in Seattle

Last updated: October 2026

We want each homeowner who reaches Ilmeanwhile Restoration to be treated fairly and honestly. If something went wrong, tell us. This page shows how to file a complaint and what happens afterward. It is a general template, not legal advice.

Topics We Want to Hear About

You can write to us about:

  • Your experience when you called or contacted Ilmeanwhile Restoration
  • The way your personal information was handled
  • Anything on this site that seems unclear or wrong
  • The behavior of a provider we connected you with

If the Problem Is With a Provider

Providers in our network are independent businesses. Each one is responsible for its own estimates, prices, work and customer service. If you have trouble with work in your home, the usual first step is to raise it with the provider directly and keep a written record.

Please still let us know. Feedback about providers helps keep our network honest, and a provider that repeatedly falls short of our expectations may be removed. Keep in mind that Ilmeanwhile Restoration cannot settle contract disputes, refund money for a provider's work, or make decisions for a provider.

Filing Your Complaint

Email contact@ilmeanwhile.living and include:

  • Your name and a way to reach you
  • The date you contacted us or the provider
  • The number you called or the form you used, if you recall
  • The provider's name, if you know it
  • A clear account of what happened and what outcome you hope for

After You Write

We will confirm receipt by email, usually within a few business days. Then we will look into what happened, which may include contacting the provider. After that, we will reply with what we found and any steps we are taking.

Still Unhappy?

If our answer does not satisfy you, reply and ask us to take another look. You may also contact your state's consumer protection office or attorney general, or your local Better Business Bureau. For problems with licensed contractors, your state's contractor licensing board may be able to help too.
